摘要:
Two-dimensional numerical simulation of heat storage characteristics in a horizontal rectangular enclosure heated from below by natural convection has been investigated with the microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) slurry. Effects of PCM on heat storage and heat transfer are discussed, in which PCM slurry exhibits the pseudoplastic non-Newtonian fluid behavior and a peak value in the specific heat capacity with latent heat in phase temperature range. And their characteristics between the slurries with and without phase change of PCM are compared in the phase change temperature range. And vertical temperature distributions at the middle position are given. This paper shows streamlines and isotherms in the enclosure for phase change process.

摘要:
A novel signal processing method, called sensitive frequency band (SFB) selection, is proposed based on the correlation coefficients between the original signal and its reconstructed approximation and detail parts. By identifying the noised-related and fault-related SFBs, the SFB selection method can be used to reduce noise and extract fault feature effectively for a signal. This method is applied to analyze the engine injector-pulse-width waveforms, and it works well for engine waveform analysis and fault diagnosis. This study will also supply a good reference for signal processing in the other research fields.
摘要:
<jats:p>The microencapsulated phase change material (PCM) slurry is a kind of mixture with the PCM microcapsule particles and water. The actual PCM in the microcapsule is composed of several kinds of paraffin waxes (mainly nonadecane), and the membrane is a type of melamine resin. This study is focused on preparation, characterization, and thermal properties of the microencapsulated (PCM) slurry. The microencapsulated PCM particles are prepared by in-situ polymerization method. Four different levels of mass concentration <jats:italic>C<jats:sub>m</jats:sub></jats:italic> of the PCM will be used such as <jats:italic>C<jats:sub>m</jats:sub></jats:italic>=10%, 20%, 30% and 40%, respectively. The diameter of the particles is distributed in the range of 0µm~4.5µm, and most (61%) of them occur in the range of 0.5µm~1.5µm. The average volumetric diameter of the PCM microcapsule particle is about 0.78µm. And the average membrane thickness is about 11nm.Thermal properties of the microencapsulated PCM slurry are determined using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). From DSC analysis, the melting and freezing temperatures and the latent heats of <jats:italic>C<jats:sub>m</jats:sub></jats:italic>=30% are measured as 38°C and 25°C, and 37.9 kJ/kg, respectively. The rheological properties are measured by a rotating cylinder type of rheometer, which the slurry shows the pseudo plastic non-Newtonian fluid behavior with the power-law fluid index <jats:italic>n</jats:italic>.</jats:p>

<jats:p>This experiment on natural convection heat transfer with the PCM microcapsule slurry for a solid phase state of the PCM were performed at a horizontal rectangular enclosure heating from below and cooling from top. In the present study, important parameters affecting the natural convection heat transfer of the slurry with the PCM were taken into account such as the mass concentration of the PCM microencapsulated into the slurry, the temperature difference between heating plate and cooling plate, the Rayleigh number <jats:italic>Ra</jats:italic> and the aspect ratio (width/height) of the horizontal rectangular enclosure. The heat transfer characteristics of the PCM microcapsule slurry on natural convection were concluded from predicted conditions simplified by classifying the temperature ranges into three sub-regions, in which the PCM in the slurry was in only solid phase state, phase change state or solid-liquid coexistence state and only liquid phase state of the PCM in the microcapsule, respectively. The upper cooling plate was fixed at a constant temperature in each region, and the lower heating plate temperature was varied by carefully adjusting the electric power input of an electric plate heater. And experiment was done under the thermal steady condition in the PCM microcapsule slurry. Emphasis was given on phase changing temperature range, and experiments had been performed for four kinds of enclosures with various heights.</jats:p>

A numerical investigation on natural convection heat transfer in a 2-dimensional enclosure heated from below has been conducted with mieroencapsulated phase change material (PCM) slurries. The microencapsulated PCM slurry exhibits pseudoplastic non-Newtonian fluid behavior and has a peak value in the specific heat capacity. The viscosity of the slurry is assumed to follow the Ostwald-de Wade power law fluid model with the power-law index n and the consistency coefficient K. Both dynamic and heat transfer characteristics arc discussed on Rayleigh-Benard natural convection. Characteristics on natural convection heat transfer have been numerically investigated for different value of the width-height aspect ratio of the enclosure. According to the comparison of the two kinds of fluid with PCM and without PCM, the start of natural convection is earlier for the fluid with PCM.

摘要:
The article mainly discusses the application situation on the solar energy wood drying in China, and summarizes its advantages and problems in the real application. Because solar energy is low in thermal density, intermittent, and it is affected by weather, these have very big limitation to use solar energy in the actual production process. Based on these, it is introduced that the advantages of thermal energy storage technology in wood drying process of solar energy, the main application modes and the actual application status. It summarizes the major thermal energy storage materials and their basic characteristics, discusses the application prospect and the importance on the latent heat storage technology in wood drying.

摘要:
This paper mainly introduces a novel linear air conditioner compressor which is driven by the linear oscillatory motor with two divided moving body, of which the Cylinder-piston assembly presents symmetrical distribution along the axial direction. The compressor dynamics equations were built and solved numerically with the fourth order Runge-Kutta method. in the meantime, this paper emphatically analyzes the influence of those factors, such as the intake pressure, the exhaust pressure, the suction gas superheat, the cooling degree, on the compressor performance at varied operating conditions. These works shows that improving the suction gas pressure and reducing the exhuast pressure can help to increase the refrigeration capacity and energy efficiency ratio of the air conditioner compressor. Those analysis results provide theory foundation for design,development, and engineering application of this linear air-conditioner compressor.
