摘要:
Most plants belonging to the widely distributed genus Dianthus are used for gardening. Interspecific hybridization of different Dianthus species leads to blurred genetic backgrounds. To obtain more genomic resources and understand the phylogenetic relationships among Dianthus species, the chloroplast genomes of 12 Dianthus species, including nine Dianthus gratianopolitanus varieties, were analyzed. The chloroplast genomes of these 12 species exhibited similar sizes (149,474-149,735 bp), with Dianthus caryophyllus having a chloroplast genome size of 149,604 bp marked by a significant contraction in inverted repeats. In the chloroplast genome of Dianthus, we identified 124-126 annotated genes, including 83-84 protein-coding genes. Notably, D. caryophyllus had 83 protein-coding genes but lacked rpl2. The repeat sequences of the chloroplast genome were consistent among species, and variations in the sequence were limited and not prominent. However, notable gene replacements were observed in the boundary region. Phylogenetic analysis of Dianthus indicated that D. caryophyllus and D. gratianopolitanus were most closely related, suggesting that the degree of variation within nine Dianthus varieties was no less than the variation observed between species. These differences provide a theoretical foundation for a more comprehensive understanding of the diversity within Dianthus species. © 2023 the author(s), published by De Gruyter.

摘要:
A novel ternary composite of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4)/graphene oxide (GO) sheets/BiFeO3 (CNGB) with highly enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity toward Cr(Vl) photoreduction is prepared and characterized. The characterization and photocatalysis experiments corroborate its reasonable band gap, efficient charge separation and transfer, widened visible-light adsorption, easy solid-liquid separation, good stability and superior catalytic activity of CNGB. Three CNGB samples with different ratios of g-C3N4 and BiFeO3 (CNGB-1, -2, -3 with 2:4, 3:3, and 4:2, respectively), though possessing different adsorption ability, eventually remove all Cr(Vl) ions via photocatalysis within 90 min. The catalytic efficiency of the composite is the highest at pH 2; increases in pH decrease the catalytic ability. The inorganic anions such as SO4-, Cl-, and NO3- only slightly affects the photocatalytic process. The matching of the band structure between BiFeO3 and g-C3N4 generates efficient photogenerated electron migration from the conduction band of g-C3N4 to that of BiFeO3, which is also facilitated by the electron bridging and collecting effects of GO, and holes transfer from the valence band of BiFeO3 to that of g-C3N4, yielding the efficient separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs and the subsequent enhancement of photocatalytic activity. The research provides a theoretical basis and technical support for the development of photocatalytic technologies for effective application in wastewater treatment and Cr-contaminated water restoration. 石墨型氮化碳(g-C3N4)聚合物是一种新型的半导体非金属光催化剂,以三聚氰胺、尿素、双氰胺等富氮低成本材料为前驱体就可以制备。在拥有良好的化学稳定性和热稳定性的同时,其既能吸收太阳光转化为化学能,又能彻底氧化还原环境中的污染物质,而被广泛应用于光催化领域,如光降解有机污染物、光解水产氨产氧和有机选择性光合成等,在能源短缺和环境保护方面具有很广阔的研究空间。本文主要论述了g-C3N4在光催化领域的发展、光催化性能的改良方法以及其在光电领域的应用,并提出g-C3N4在未来研究中所面临的挑战。

摘要:
In this study, Broussonetia papyrifera leaves collected from land near a restored manganese mine in the Hunan Province of China were converted into biochar under high-temperature anaerobic conditions, regeneration and utilization of agricultural and forest waste, and applied to the prevention of eutrophication. The physicochemical properties of the B. papyrifera biochar were characterized using Micromeritics 3Flex analyzer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS), zeta potential meter (zeta), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The effects of pH, ionic strength, coexisting ions, time, initial concentration, and temperature on the decontamination process of phosphate in water were studied. The results indicated that adsorption was enhanced under alkaline conditions. The pseudo-second-order model of adsorption kinetics was applied to illustrate the adsorption processes. The chemical adsorption reaction was the main rate-limiting step in the adsorption process. Isotherm experimental data were best fitted by the Freundlich model at 25°C and by the Langmuir model at 35°C. The phosphate combined with B. papyrifera biochar mainly in the forms of exchangeable phosphorus (Ex-P), Al-bound phosphorus (Al-P), and Fe-bound phosphorus (Fe-P). These results indicate that B. papyrifera biochar is a suitable candidate for the treatment of a eutrophic body of water. © 2019, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

In this study, exogenous spermidine role on Salix matsudana tolerance to cadmium was evaluated. Spermidine and cadmium presented antagonistic effects on the biomass, copper and zinc concentrations in S. matsudana. cadmium mainly distributed in the cell wall of subcellular fraction; 46.97%–60.43% of cadmium existed in a sodium chloride-extracted form. Cadmium contents in roots, leaves, and twigs ranged from 2002.67 to 3961.00, 111.59 to 229.72, and 102.56 to 221.27 mg/kg, respectively. Spermidine application elevated cadmium concentrations in the roots, cuttings, and cell wall and the ratio of deionized water-extracted cadmium, but decreased cadmium levels in the twigs and leaves and the fractions of cadmium extracted by ethanol and sodium chloride, respectively. Putrescine and malondialdehyde were important indicators of cadmium-induced oxidative damage. Exogenous spermidine alleviated the accumulation of superoxide anion, hydrogen peroxide, malondialdehyde via promoting the levels of spermidine, soluble protein, superoxide dismutase, reductive ascorbate, glutathione reductase, and glutathione peroxidase in S. matsudana leaves under the corresponding cadmium stress. The results indicated that S. matsudana was a candidate for cadmium rhizoremediation and extraction in leaves; the spermidine application enhanced the cadmium tolerance of S. matsudana through promoting cadmium accumulation in roots, cell wall, and less bioactive chemical forms and the antioxidative ability. © 2018, © 2018 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

Abstract: A simple electrochemical method for detecting glutathione reductase was developed in this work. It was observed that the impedance of electrode increased obviously after the electrode modification by glutathione, and the value of impedance was closely related to the reduced glutathione (GSH) concentration. Based on the fact that glutathione reductase (GR) could catalyze oxidized glutathione (GSSG) to GSH rapidly in the presence of NADPH (β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide 2'-phosphate reduced), and as GSH was immobilized on the gold electrode surface, the impedance increased drastically. Meanwhile, it was found that the impedance was correlated with the activity of GR, and a chemical equation was obtained based on the relationship between the impedance and enzymatic activity. The range of enzymatic activity that could be measured at 0.005‒0.5 U by using this assay, and the detection limit was 0.005 U (1 U means reduction of 1.0 μmol GSSG per min at pH 7.2 at 25°C). The enzymatic activity of GR obtained by this method was compared with those obtained by colorimetric detection, and the results showed that the new method is reliable. Therefore, the new method is highly sensitive with convenience consuming time within 20 min to complete a test, thus showing a promising potential of being applied in medicine. © 2019, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

Tracking seasonally changing resources is regarded as a widespread proximate mechanism underpinning animal migration. Migrating herbivores, for example, are hypothesized to track seasonal foliage dynamics over large spatial scales. Previous investigations of this green wave hypothesis involved few species and limited geographical extent, and used conventional correlation that cannot disentangle alternative correlated effects. Here, we introduce stochastic simulations to test this hypothesis using 222 individual spring migration episodes of 14 populations of ten species of geese, swans and dabbling ducks throughout Europe, East Asia, and North America. We find that the green wave cannot be considered a ubiquitous driver of herbivorous waterfowl spring migration, as it explains observed migration patterns of only a few grazing populations in specific regions. We suggest that ecological barriers and particularly human disturbance likely constrain the capacity of herbivorous waterfowl to track the green wave in some regions, highlighting key challenges in conserving migratory birds.

摘要:
In this study, Box-Behnken design (BBD) was employed to optimize the process for H<inf>3</inf>PO<inf>4</inf>-activated Typha angustifolia activated carbon (TAC) production and Cr removal by TAC;the removal mechanisms were discussed based on TAC characterization, and the regeneration evaluation was also conducted. The optimum preparation conditions were activated time of 1.5 h, temperature of 469.02 °C, and incubation ratio of 4, resulting in an experimental carbon yield of 38.23% and Cr removal of 90.01%. The optimum adsorption parameters were found to be 0.02 g/50 mL TAC, 80 mg/L Cr(VI), and 2.21 pH with the observed Cr adsorption capacity of 59.54 mg/g. The removal mechanisms involved coulombic attraction, ionic exchange, surface complexation, and reduction. The process of Cr(VI) adsorption was feasible, spontaneous, and endothermic in nature, and the pseudo-second-order and Langmuir isotherm models were more appropriate for the removal process. After five adsorption/desorption cycles, the Cr adsorption capacity on TAC reduced by only 24.37%. The results showed that BBD could successfully optimize TAC production and Cr removal, and TAC could be developed as a promising, eco-friendly, and effective adsorbent for Cr pollution control.<br/> ©2018 by the authors.

掌握洞庭湖越冬小天鹅Cygnus columbianus的迁徙行为和规律,明确迁徙路线和停歇地,是小天鹅栖息地恢复研究及保护的基础.2014-2017年,在湖南东洞庭湖国家级自然保护区对18只小天鹅进行卫星跟踪,收集了38 882条定位数据.本研究确定了小天鹅西线、中线和东线3条迁徙路线,其中,新发现的西线沿我国湖北、河南、山西、陕西、内蒙古,以及蒙古国、哈萨克斯坦,抵达俄罗斯亚马尔-涅涅茨自治区北部靠近喀拉海的北极苔原.西线春季迁徙距离为6 715 km,平均迁徙速度为21.52 km·h-1,秋季迁徙距离为7 467 km,平均迁徙速度为32.75 km·h-1.中线春季迁徙距离为2 083 km,平均迁徙速度为28.93 km·h-1.东线春季迁徙距离为5965~6351 km,平均迁徙速度为(28.71±0.95) km h-1,秋季迁徙距离为5 101~5 331 km,平均迁徙速度为(29.15±3.65) km·h-1.小天鹅春季迁徙进程慢于秋季,迁徙途中的最大飞行速度达133.3 km·h-1.内蒙古自治区的黄河湿地和大兴安岭两侧河谷湿地是迁徙途中的重要中转站,小天鹅在此停歇15 d以上.本研究有助于了解小天鹅对栖息环境的偏好及迁徙路线选择策略,为禽流感等疾病传播和防控提供科学依据.

重金属污染区与非污染区平车前生物量分配的比较

摘要:
选择重金属污染区与非污染区自然生长的平车前Plantago depressa为研究对象,通过比较这2个种群植物个体大小、种子大小与数量、生物量分配的异同,揭示该植物对重金属胁迫环境的生态适应模式。结果显示: (1)污染区平车前植株高度为17.03 cm,单株生物量为1.62 g,较非污染区分别下降了16.9%和40.7%。(2)污染区平车前每株穗数、每穗果实数、每果实种子数较非污染区分别下降了47.3%、27.0%和12.7%;种子千粒重由非污染区的0.39 g减少为污染区的0.31 g,减少了20.5%。(3)与非污染区相比,污染区平车前根生物量分配比例显著增加,繁殖分配比例则无显著差异。研究结果说明平车前可通过减小个体大小、增加根生物量分配比例等方式来适应矿山胁迫环境。

摘要:
A novel aptamer sensor for ratiometric ochratoxin A (OTA) detection was constructed based on the host-guest competition mode. Firstly, the aptamer modified with methylene blue (MB) at its terminal was fixed on the surface of the gold electrode via the host-guest recognition with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD). Then the MoS<inf>2</inf> nanosheets/Au NPs nanocomposites were used for the signal amplification. When OTA was present, the configuration of MB-aptamer transformed from vertical linear to G-quadruplex, thus making itself unable to get close to the electrode surface and causing a decrease in the redox current of the MB-aptamer. Whereas the free ferrocenecarboxylic acid could recognize and occupy the vacant site and produce signals in the current, resulting in the “ratiometric”effect. Consequently, on the basis of the “dual-signal”principle, a highly sensitive detection of OTA was made, indicating that the OTA concentration had a linear response to the signal of sensor between 0.1 nM and 50 nM, and as low as 0.06 nM OTA had been detected. Overall, this method for OTA detection was constructed easily with high sensitivity and specificity, providing a significant platform for highly efficient detection of OTA in biological samples.<br/> ©2018 Elsevier Ltd

Antibiotic residues in the aquatic environment have become a global problem posing a serious threat to the environment and an inherent health risk to human beings. In this study, experiments were carried to investigate the use of carbon material modified by liquid nitrogen treatment (CM1) and carbon material unmodified by liquid nitrogen treatment (CM2) as adsorbents for the removal of the antibiotic ampicillin from aqueous solutions. The properties of the CMs (CM1 and CM2) and the effects of variations of the key operating parameters on the removal process were examined, and kinetic, isothermal and thermodynamic experimental data were studied. The results showed that CM1 had larger specific surface area and pore size than CM2. The ampicillin adsorption was more effective on CM1 than that on CM2, and the maximum adsorption capacity of ampicillin onto CM1 and CM2 was 206.002 and 178.423 mg/g, respectively. The kinetic data revealed that the pesudo-second order model was more suitable for the fitting of the experimental kinetic data and the isothermal data indicated that the Langmuir model was successfully correlated with the data. The adsorption of ampicillin was a spontaneous reaction dominated by thermodynamics. In synthetic wastewater, CM1 and CM2 showed different removal rates for ampicillin: 92.31% and 86.56%, respectively. For an adsorption-based approach, carbon material obtained by the liquid nitrogen treatment method has a stronger adsorption capacity, faster adsorption, and was non-toxic, therefore, it could be a promising adsorbent, with promising prospects in environmental pollution remediation applications. © 2018 by the authors. <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:sec><jats:title>BACKGROUND</jats:title><jats:p>In this study, a graphene oxide@TiO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> composite (GO/TiO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>) was prepared and characterized by SEM, EDX, XRD, nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherm, and XPS. Photocatalytic reduction and removal of Cr(VI) using this composite in an aerobic atmosphere were studied under UV irradiation. The effects of pH, ferric ions, inorganic anions, and formate were investigated systematically.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>RESULTS</jats:title><jats:p>The Cr(VI) reduction rate decreased with increasing solution pH. The presence of ferric ions in the system improved the photocatalytic reduction process. The effects of SO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub><jats:sup>2−</jats:sup> and PO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub><jats:sup>3−</jats:sup> on the process were higher than those of Cl<jats:sup>−</jats:sup> and NO<jats:sub>3</jats:sub><jats:sup>−</jats:sup>. Formate slightly inhibited adsorption of Cr(VI), while it improved Cr(VI) reduction. GO/TiO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> has good stability and it maintained full photoreduction activity for at least three cycles.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>CONCLUSION</jats:title><jats:p>The results indicated that GO/TiO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> can thermodynamically reduce Cr(VI) to Cr(III) under UV light. Environmental conditions and wastewater characteristics (e.g. pH, ferric ions, inorganic anions, and formate) can influence the decontamination process because they affect the interactions between chromium ions and GO/TiO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> and alter the electron‐transfer pathways. The results suggest that the GO/TiO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> is an attractive material for removing hexavalent chromium from water using a photocatalytic process. © 2018 Society of Chemical Industry</jats:p></jats:sec>

A readily separated composite was prepared via direct assembly of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles onto the surface of graphene oxide (GO) (labeled as Fe3O4@GO) and used as an adsorbent for the removal of tetracycline (TC) from wastewater. The effects of external environmental conditions, such as pH, ionic strength, humic acid (HA), TC concentration, and temperature, on the adsorption process were studied. The adsorption data were analyzed by kinetics and isothermal models. The results show that the Fe3O4@GO composite has excellent sorptive properties and can efficiently remove TC. At low pH, the adsorption capacity of Fe3O4@GO toward TC decreases slowly with increasing pH value, while the adsorption capacity decreases rapidly at higher pH values. The ionic strength has insignificant effect on TC adsorption. The presence of HA affects the affinity of Fe3O4@GO to TC. The pseudo-second-order kinetics model and Langmuir model fit the adsorption data well. When the initial concentration of TC is 100 mg/L, a slow adsorption process dominates. Film diffusion is the rate limiting step of the adsorption. Importantly, Fe3O4@GO has good regeneration performance. The above results are of great significance to promote the application of Fe3O4@GO in the treatment of antibiotic wastewater. © 2017 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.

Thiourea-dioxide–reduced magnetic graphene oxide (TDMGO) was successfully prepared as an efficient adsorbent for the removal of tetracycline (TC) from aqueous solutions via strong adsorptive interactions. The composite was characterized by SEM, TEM, EDS, TGA, FT-IR, XPS, XRD and VSM. The effects of variables such as the pH, TC concentration, and temperature were successfully analyzed. The kinetics and isothermal parameters were described well by pseudo-second-order and Langmuir isotherm models, respectively, and the maximum adsorption capacity (qm) of TDMGO for TC calculated from the Langmuir isotherm was 1233mg/g at 313K. The removal of TC onto TDMGO, as indicated by the thermodynamic parameters, was spontaneous and endothermic. The removal performance was slightly affected by the solution pH. The presence of NaCl in the solution facilitated TC adsorption, and the optimum adsorption capacity was obtained when the NaCl concentration was >0.001M. The adsorption capacity decreased slightly with increasing humic acid concentration. In addition, the adsorbent could be regenerated and reused. Based on these results, TDMGO is a promising adsorbent for the efficient removal of TC antibiotics from aquatic environments for pollution treatment. © 2017 Elsevier Inc.

摘要:
为了解洞庭湖野生麋鹿种群的活动范围,为洞庭湖麋鹿种群保护与恢复提供依据,利用卫星定位技术对洞庭湖野生麋鹿进行追踪,研究洞庭湖野生麋鹿活动范围与水位变化之间的关系。结果表明:洞庭湖野生麋鹿活动范围较广,且麋鹿活动范围与洞庭湖水位密切相关。在高水位时期,随着洞庭湖水位的不断升高,麋鹿活动范围会不断向岸边移动,在低水位时期,洞庭湖麋鹿活动范围阶段性向外湖迁移。研究对于了解洞庭湖麋鹿的适宜生境,通过水位调控确保洞庭湖麋鹿种群生态安全具有重要意义。基于卫星定位技术的研究方法对于洞庭湖其他珍稀动物活动范围的研究具有重要借鉴意义。

为全面了解洞庭湖洲滩及滨湖区鼠类分布格局,统计自2003—2013年该湖区15个调查点5种不同生境的鼠类群落调查数据,并对鼠类群落的物种多样性进行分析。结果表明:2003—2013年洞庭湖区捕获鼠类有10种,主要优势种为黑线姬鼠(Apodemus agrarius)和东方田鼠(Microtus fortis);不同生境下的优势种不同,东方田鼠为湖滩生境优势种,黑线姬鼠是滨湖农田和退田还湖洲滩生境优势种,针毛鼠(Niviventer fulvescens)和社鼠(Niviventer confucianus)为滨湖丘岗林地优势种,小家鼠(Mus musculus)及黄胸鼠(Rattus tanzumi)则多出现在农房生境;不同生境的鼠类群落物种多样性不同,滨湖丘岗林地生境受人类活动或洪水干扰程度最低,因此,优势集中性指数最低,而物种多样性Shannon-Wiener指数在干扰较少的滨湖丘岗林地生境物种多样性指数最高。尽管湖滩生境受三峡工程的影响,物种数大量增加,但由于仍受汛期洪涝的干扰,依然具有优势种突出的特征。研究表明,人类社会活动或洪涝等干扰因素降低了鼠类群落物种多样性,致使优势种突出,形成只利于少数几个种群栖息的环境,最终导致种群大暴发。

In this study, a colorimetric method is proposed based on the peroxidase-like activity of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles for screening metal ion inhibitors for glucose oxidase activity. First, the glucose oxidase was typically used as a specific enzyme to catalyze the oxidation of β-d-glucose resulting in the generation of hydrogen peroxide. Next, having an inherent peroxidase-like activity, Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles were adopted as the catalyst. Then, the generated H2O2 was capable of participating in the oxidation of 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine to yield a blue colored product. Based on the above results, an in vitro screen model of metal ion inhibitors of glucose oxidase was thus established. Metal ions including Ca2+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Ag+, Al3+, Cu2+, Mg2+ and Zn2+ have been tested. Herein, towards the glucose oxidase activity, Ca2+, Pb2+, Mg2+ and Mn2+ showed no effect while Al3+ and Zn2+ displayed a slight activation, while of Ag+ and Cu2+ expressed a strong inhibition. The further detection of Ag+ and Cu2+ manifested that their IC50 were 0.662 μmol L-1 and 12.619 μmol L-1, respectively. The entire detection process could be accomplished within 15 min. This assay is economical, time-saving and highly-effective with definitely significant reference for the screening of metal ions as glucose oxidase inhibitors. © 2017 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

Key message: JrVHAG1is an important candidate gene for plant osmotic tolerance regulation. Abstract: Vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) is important for plant responses to abiotic stress; the G subunit is a vital part of V-ATPase. In this study, a G subunit of V-ATPase was cloned from Juglans regia (JrVHAG1) and functionally characterized. JrVHAG1 transcription was induced by mannitol that increasing 17.88-fold in the root at 12 h and 19.16-fold in the leaf at 96 h compared to that under control conditions. JrVHAG1 was overexpressed in Arabidopsis and three lines (G2, G6, and G9) with highest expression levels were selected for analysis. The results showed that under normal conditions, the transgenic and wild-type (WT) plants displayed similar germination, biomass accumulation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) level, and physiological index. However, when treated with mannitol, the fresh weight, root length, water-holding ability, and V-ATPase, superoxide dismutase, and peroxidase activity of G2, G6, and G9 were significantly higher than those of WT. In contrast, the ROS and cell damage levels of the transgenic seedlings were lower than those of WT. Furthermore, the transcription levels of V-ATPase subunits, ABF, DREB, and NAC transcription factors (TFs), all of which are factors of ABA signaling pathway, were much higher in JrVHAG1 transgenic plants than those in WT. The positive induction of JrVHAG1 gene under abscisic acid (ABA) treatments in root and leaf tissues indicates that overexpression of JrVHAG1 improves plant tolerance to osmotic stress relating to the ABA signaling pathway, which is transcriptionally activated by ABF, DREB, and NAC TFs, and correlated to ROS scavenging and V-ATPase activity. © 2016, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
