The Journal for Specialists in Pediatric Nursing (JSPN) is the international interdisciplinary resource for nurses who specialize in the care of children and families. T=\"I\">JSPN bridges the gap between research and practice by publishing peer-reviewed reliable, clinically relevant, and readily applicable evidence. Evidence includes qualitative and quantitative research, clinical expertise, and the perspectives of children and families. The journal integrates the best evidence with pediatric nurses' passion for achieving the best outcomes.The journal values interdisciplinary perspectives in the care of children and families and publishes a wide variety of peer-reviewed papers on clinically relevant topics. This article proposes a new model to address the design problem of a sustainable regional logistics network with uncertainty in future logistics demand. In the proposed model, the future logistics demand is assumed to be a random variable with a given probability distribution. A set of chance constraints with regard to logistics service capacity and environmental impacts is incorporated to consider the sustainability of logistics network design. The proposed model is formulated as a two-stage robust optimization problem. The first-stage problem before the realization of future logistics demand aims to minimize a risk-Averse objective by determining the optimal location and size of logistics parks with CO2 emission taxes consideration. The second stage after the uncertain logistics demand has been determined is a scenario-based stochastic logistics service route choices equilibrium problem. A heuristic solution algorithm, which is a combination of penalty function method, genetic algorithm, and Gauss-Seidel decomposition approach, is developed to solve the proposed model. An illustrative example is given to show the application of the proposed model and solution algorithm. The findings show that total social welfare of the logistics system depends very much on the level of uncertainty in future logistics demand, capital budget for logistics parks, and confidence levels of the chance constraints.

In this paper, a new approach is presented for solving multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problems, which is based on new arithmetic operations and the ranking rules of trapezoidal interval type-2 fuzzy numbers (IT2FNs). Firstly, the shortcomings of some existing arithmetic operations of trapezoidal IT2FNs are discussed along with their ranking methods, before some new arithmetic operations and ranking rules are proposed. Secondly, some new aggregation operators including the arithmetic averaging aggregation operator, the ordered weighted averaging aggregation operator and the hybrid weighted averaging aggregation operator for trapezoidal IT2FNs are also developed. Thirdly, a new approach for MCGDM problems is developed based on the proposed operators and ranking rules. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the feasibility and validity of this new approach, and a comparison analysis referring to the same example is also presented.

摘要:
The multicriteria decision-making problem with an unbalanced linguistic scale is analyzed by multicriteria semantic dominance (MCSD) technique. The technique only requires the available partial semantics information about the scale. The MCSD rules on two types of unbalanced linguistic scale are introduced and proven. With these rules, alternatives are divided into two mutually exclusive sets called the efficient set and inefficient set. The decision maker with a specific type of linguistic scale will never choose the alternative from the corresponding inefficient set as the feasible one. Thus he/she can easily choose from the original alternative set. An example is also provided to illustrate the procedure of the proposed method.

Autism is a brain developmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, as well as restricted and repetitive behaviors. The neurexin-1(NRXN1) gene mapped on chromosome 2p16.3 encodes neurexin, a cell adhesion molecule and receptor in the vertebrate nervous system. Rare de novo alterations and copy number variations (CNVs) suggested neurexin-1 as a candidate gene for the pathogenesis of autism, but data on the gene mutation of neurexin-1 in Chinese Han population with autism are limited. By direct sequencing, we analyzed the entire coding regions and associated splice junctions of neurexin-1 in 313 Chinese autism patients. For exons in which non-synonymous variants were identified, sequencing was performed in 500 healthy controls. We identified 22 variants in the neurexin-1 coding regions, including 7 missense variants, 3 deletions, and 12 synonymous mutations. Among them, 3 missense and 3 synonymous variants were not reported in the dbSNP database and absent in 500 control subjects; whereas 4 missense variants, 3 deletions and 3 synonymous mutations were not reported in the dbSNP database but were identified in the control subjects. However, there is no significant association of these mutations with autism risk. Interestingly, there was a statistically significant association of neurexin-1 SNP P300P (rs2303298) with risk of autism (26.2% vs. 13.8%; chi(2) = 22.487; p = 3.45E-006; OR = 2.152 (1.559-2.970)). Our data suggest a possible association of neurexin-1 with autism risk in Chinese Han population, warranting further large-scale study on this gene. (c) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

This article presents an overview of the development and future perspectives of the Chinese biogas industry. The development of the industry has the potential to improve the rural environment and produce significant amounts of sustainable energy for China. Barriers to the development are the relatively weak environmental policies, imperfect financial policies and lack of long-term follow-up services. The rapid economic development of China has also seen a development in the scales of biogas plants constructed. Although the technology has been improved, this review has identified problems in the construction and operation of Chinese biogas plants, particularly in the efficiency of household systems. All levels of China's government acknowledge this and recent biogas projects have more focus on quality and less on the quantity. The intention is to gradually introduce stricter environmental policies, to provide better service systems, improve the financial policies that support the construction and follow-up service of biogas projects, promote the use of standardized engineering equipment and materials and standards for plant construction and production. This will promote the development of biogas projects at various scales further, and reduce the dependency on fossil fuels and emissions of greenhouse gases. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. Changsha, a typical city in central China, was selected as the study area to assess the variations of ecosystem service value on the basis of land-use change. The analysis not only included the whole city but also the urban district where the landscape changed more rapidly in the center of the city. Two LANDSAT TM data sets in 1986 and 2000 and land use data of five urban districts from 1995 to 2005 were used to estimate the changes in the size of six land use categories. Meanwhile, previously published value coefficients were used to detect the changes in the value of ecosystem services delivered by each land category. The result shows that the total value of ecosystem services in Changsha declines from $1 009.28 million per year in 1986 to $938.11 million per year in 2000. This decline is largely attributable to the increase of construction land, and the conversion from woodland and water body to cropland to keep the crop production. In the five districts, there is $6.19 million decline in ecosystem service value between 1995 and 2005. Yuelu District has the highest unit ecosystem service value while Yuhua District has the lowest one. This may be attributed to the greater conversion from cropland and grassland to woodland and water body with the increase of construction land in Yuelu District. It is suggested that the increase rate of construction land should be controlled rigorously and the area of woodland and water body should be increased or at least retained in the study area.

National parks throughout the world are increasingly challenged to accommodate the dual mandates of protecting natural and cultural resources while providing positive recreation experiences for park visitors. This is particularly true for China's national forest parks (NFPs), now important destinations for both the domestic and international tourist markets. The sustainable management of the NFPs requires an understanding of park visitors' attitudes. This paper examines how visitors perceive the roles and functions, policies and appropriate uses relating to China's NFPs, based on data from an important NFP. Results suggest that visitors' attitudes towards NFPs are positive. The majority of study participants placed higher priority on the protection of the ecological integrity of NFPs than on their development and use for recreation and tourism. They were supportive of NFP policies for limiting visitor numbers and phasing out inappropriate uses. Non-consumptive activities were viewed as highly appropriate while religious activities and dancing/karaoke lounges were seen as highly inappropriate. Visitors who placed higher priority on the protection of ecological integrity were less likely to compromise protection with use, and more likely to support non-consumptive activities. Future research needs are discussed.

Nutrient cycling in mixed- species plant communities may be enhanced in comparison to what might be expected from the component species. In this study, we investigated ( 1) whether the admixing of nitrogen- rich litter from Acacia mearnsii can accelerate the decomposition of Eucalyptus globulus leaf litter and ( 2) whether eucalypt litter originating from mixed stands with acacias decomposes faster than litter from pure eucalypt stands. To address the first question, pure and mixed litter was incubated in the laboratory for 110 days at 25. C in the following proportions: 100% E, 75% E : 25% A, 50% E : 50% A, 25% E : 75% A and 100% A, where% E and% A refers to the proportion of eucalypt and acacia in the microcosms, respectively. Since mass loss and N loss of litter in the 50 : 50 mixture was higher than for pure eucalypt but not higher than for acacia, it appears that acacia litter accelerated decomposition of eucalypt litter but not vice versa. Decomposition rates increased with N concentration in the combined litters up to 1.1% N, above that point it remained constant. To address the second question, eucalypt litter from pure and mixed stands was incubated in microcosms. The loss of mass, N and P after 110 days was not different for eucalypt litter originating from mixed ( 75E : 25A, 50E : 50A, 25E : 75A) and pure ( 100E) plantations. Together, these studies suggest that admixture of A. mearnsii to E. globulus has the potential to accelerate decomposition and N cycling, and that the species interactions are most pronounced in the 50 : 50 mixture. Mixing of the two species in plantations has so far had no influence on the decomposability of eucalypt litter.

摘要:
The constant elasticity of variance (CEV) model was constructed to study a defined contribution pension plan where benefits were paid by annuity. It also presents the process that the Legendre transform and dual theory can be applied to find an optimal investment policy during a participant's whole life in the pension plan. Finally, two explicit solutions to exponential utility function in the two different periods (before and after retirement) are revealed. Hence, the optimal investment strategies in the two periods are obtained.
