Rapid economic development and accelerated urbanization in China has resulted in widespread atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition. One consequence of N deposition is the altera-tion of mycorrhizal symbioses that are critical for plant resource acquisition (nitrogen, N, phos-phorus, P, water).
