The design and implementation of a magnetic damper system were completed to actively reduce the vibration of a suspension system. A cylindrical-type electromagnetic actuator with a permanent magnet was analyzed and the design of an effective controller was made. An accurate force analysis was carried out to the system. An accurate transfer function for the total system was determined by the experimental data using the error minimization method.
