To improve krill herd's (KH) ability for solving global optimization, by combining the advantage of KH and accelerated particle swarm optimization (APSO) method, an enhanced version of KH technique based on KH and accelerated APSO method, called particle-swarm krill herd (PKH) approach is designed. In this way, the advantage of the APSO and KH approaches are fully exploited, and the proposed PKH algorithm has the useful features originated from APSO and KH optimization techniques.
