The notch-stud connections for timber-concrete composite beams is obtained by cutting a notch from the timber beam and reinforcing it with stud in the notch, and filling it with concrete during the pouring of the concrete slab. Compared to mechanical fasteners, this type of connection has the merit of high stiffness, strength and slip resistance.
