摘要是学术论文的精华所在,是展示学术水平信息的窗口,是被收录和被运用的主要依据之一。摘要的内容是衡量摘要质量的决定因素。通过对林业科学等多种国家级自然科学期刊近年来所登刊的800多篇学术论文的中外文摘要开展检索并上传到网上,发现凡是被国内外收录和被引用频率高的学术论文,其摘要的内容既包括了目的、方法、结果、结论等传统4要素,又增加了创新或特色、展望等新内容。说明当代自然科学学术论文摘要的内容既要反映论文的完整性,更要反映论文的创新性和展望研究领域的发展趋势。

The abstract is the prime of the thesis, the window of information showing the academic level of the thesis, and one of the bases of being collected and applied.
