转喻是人类基本的思维方式，是一种在概念层面操作的认知机制。转喻的识解受人的主观性、认知语境和社会文化等因素的制约。为了提升在英文阅读中的转喻能力，研究生需要从以下几个方面着手：提升认知能力，主动积累语言知识；根据认知语境把握篇章结构；拓展文化背景知识。培养研究生的转喻能力可为他们未来的学习和研究打下良好基础。
