文章对美国休闲与游憩数据的收集机构、方法、内容、数据收集管理机构和法规基础进行了 全面、系统的梳理,探讨了美国休闲游憩数据的延续性和可比性、科学性和规范性、公共性和共享性、 多部门协作等特征,分析了美国相关数据在促进学术研究和交流、为政策制定提供坚实基础以及提升 公众认知和公民科学素养等方面的作用.在此基础上,对我国的休闲与游憩数据收集提出了建议.

This paper introduces national surveys and data collection on leisure and recreation in the USA, including data collection agencies/ organizations, sampling methods, survey contents, data management units/ divisions, and acts/regulations supporting data collection. Leisure/recreation data in the USA have been col-lected continually, comparably, scientifically, and normatively with partnerships and collaboration from multi-ple agencies.
