The inhibitory effect of aquatic plants (Acorus calamus, Hydrilla verticillata, Vallisneria natans, Myriophyllum verticillatum and Ipomoea aquatica) on Microcystis aeruginosa were assessed, which culturing with different concentration of aquatic plants filtrates (0 g/L, 10 g/L, 30 g/L, 40 g/L and 50 g/L). Results showed that the biomass of M. aeruginsa was suppressed when culturing with the selected 5 aquatic plants filtrates respectively, the inhibitory effects increased with the concentration of filtrates.
