To improve the treatment and cost efficiency of traditional electrokinetic (EK), this study used Cd-tolerant strains combined with EK on cadmium (Cd) contaminated soil remediation. Cd removal and energy consumption were evaluated by inoculating different Cd-tolerant strains, Escherichia coli, Bacillus sp. and Bacillus cereus in soil with 10 days under a 1V•cm-1. The results showed that the Cd removal efficiency with Escherichia coli, Bacillus sp. and Bacillus cereus was 7.63%, 17.21% and 19.53% respectively, which were higher than traditional ...
