Chloroplasts, essential to the photosynthetic process, are pivotal in orchestrating the development and growth of plants. The pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) serves as a link between the citric acid cycle and glycolysis, supplying energy and carbon skeletons vital for plant metabolism.
