In this study, subgrade settlement in the high-speed rail line connecting Wuhan and Guangzhou during the construction process was measured, and the process of settlement was modeled as a grey system. A grey prediction model, GM(1, 1), was formulated and used to predict the subgrade settlement during construction. A traditional three-point model was also formulated, and the predictions were compared with those of the GM(1, 1) model for this roadbed section.
