Fig. 2(a) shows the real-time frequency shift responsive profiles with the initial M. tuberculosis H37Rv (ATCC 27294 ) concentrations ranging from 102 to 108 cfu/ml. No obvious frequency shift change was obtained while using the blank culture as the control, indicating the stability of the system. Emergence of drug-resistance tuberculosis (DR-TB) represents a serious threat to the world. Most countries, especially the developing countries, lack efficacious and inexpensive tools for early detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) resistance to antituberculosis drugs and for preventing the carriers from acquiring further resistance.
