从文化生态学视角审视中国民族传统体育文化的"生存困境",探寻其发展之道。研究认为:中国民族传统体育文化由于自身原因,在现代西方体育文化强势冲击下,逐渐被边沿化,陷入生存危机,有其必然性,符合文化发展的一般规律;但是危机也是转机,同样由于自身原因,中国民族传统体育文化并未从根本上丧失生命力,其生态是可以优化、改造和重建的,经过生态优化,完全可以浴火重生,展现光明的发展前景;加强理论研究和实践探索,优化民族传统体育文化生态,是中国体育界、文化界和教育界的历史使命。
