The degree of lignification in the spring shoots of Camellia oleifera significantly affects the quality of grafted scions. However, the regulatory mechanisms of lignification are poorly understood. This study explored the effects of exogenous gibberellin A 3 (GA 3 ) on lignification in the spring shoots of C. oleifera . Five-year-old C. oleifera (cultivar, Huaxin) were subjected to treatments with different concentrations of GA 3 and uniconazole.
