Fuel ethanol was made from corn stalk with cellulase pretreatment and fermentation. The effects of pretreatment temperature, time, particle size of corn stalk and dosage of cellulase on the ethanol yield were discussed. The pretreatment process was optimized and analyzed with response surface methodology, and quadratic regression model was founded.
