In order to investigate physiological role and the related genes expression of proline in pollination and fertilization in oiltea (Camellia oleifera), two biosynthesis genes (Δ1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase, P5CS, and pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase, P5CR) and two decomposition genes (proline dehydrogenase, ProDH, and Δ1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate dehydrogenase, P5CDH) were isolated from C. oleifera ‘Huaxin’ by the method of reverse transcription PCR.
