To minimize peak force and load fluctuation without compromising the specific energy absorption of energy-absorbing devices, the crashworthiness of Corrugated Spacer Tubes (CST) and their multi-tube combinations was investigated. After validating the accuracy of the CST FE model, a set of test points were generated and FE simulations were performed using the optimal Latin hypercube design method.
