湘西民间家具的设计思想与文化内涵反映了湘西地区长期以来多民族文化的交融与变迁。湘西民间家具保存了当地特有的民族文化与习俗,见证了湘西地区人们的生活场景与历史变迁;湘西民间家具的文化气质体现了湘西人对对大自然的崇拜与敬畏之情,蕴含着湘西人自然观、审美观和生活观中的"天人合一"哲学思想;湘西民间家具的造型淳朴、雕工精细,雕刻题材丰富等造型与装饰特点体现了湘西地区文化与审美的多样性与融合性;湘西民间家具在布局与陈设的反秩序特征,集中体现了湘西人对人与自然的尊重;湘西民间家具的就地取材、生态环保、朴实无华、经久耐用,展现了湘西民间家具的返璞归真、回归自然的特征。

The design idea and cultural connotation of Xiangxi folk furniture reflect multi-ethnic cultural blend and changes. Western Hunan folk furniture inherits unique local culture and custom,and witnesses people＇s life and historical changes in Western Hunan.
