Timber is a renewable, environmentally friendly construction material. Moreover, the span and flexural capacity of traditional timber structures are sensitive to many material properties. To improve the poor bearing capacity of timber structures, a bamboo-log composite beam was constructed by using the log as the skeleton and connecting glue-laminated bamboo with epoxy resin adhesive.
