Aldehyde-free cotton straw board can be prepared by hot pressing using a starch-based adhesive to realize the value-added reuse of waste, and achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality. However, traditional starch adhesives have poor stability and weak bonding forces, which leads to poor water resistance and mechanical properties of the resulting board.
