One of the main technical barriers and problems for synthesis gas production is the presence of tars in the syngas. Among all chemical and physical techniques, catalytic conversion of biomass-coal blends is an economical route for clean gas production and complete conversion of tars. In this paper, a project is carried out to develop a catalytic process for tar conversion and syngas production through gasification of biomass-coal blends in a dual circulating fluidized bed.
