Karst ecosystems are characterized by the dissolution of soluble rocks, displaying distinctive landscape features such as rugged peaks, steep slopes, and deep valleys. Afforestation is an effective approach for improving soil quality in rocky desertification areas because plants have evolved unique adaptations to thrive in such environments.
