Near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) was used to detect honey adulteration by addition of glucose solution.8 of 121 authentic honey samples were adulterated with glucose solution at ten levels i.e.5 %,10 %,15 %,20 %,25 %,30 %,35 %,45 %,55 % and 65 % weight ratio,thus producing 80 adulterated honeys.By comparison of different methods of pretreating spectra,the best method for discrimination was autoscaling combining first derivative,while for quantitative analysis of adulteration level being center combining first derivative.CARS(Competitive adap...
