Through the study and analysis work of curriculum on Engineering Mechanics in University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (UIUC), it is indicated that fundamental knowledge and integrated ability is attached more attention when setting up the courses. Also, by secondary field electives, the engineering-based problem-solving ability of students has been fostered. The technical courses of EM are comprehensive, professional and open to select.
