Fresh fruits are susceptible to microbial and insect infestation, and proper packaging is critical in reducing wastage. Essential oils are promising ingredients for food-active packaging, but their high volatility limits direct application. In this study, the inclusion complex (IC) of β-cyclodextrin/ Litsea cubeba essential oil was prepared and incorporated into polylactic acid nanofiber films to achieve the dual functions of antifungal and anti- Drosophila.
