PolInSAR data consist of two SAR images, and the spatial baseline, incident angle, slanting distance, wavelength of the two scene image determine the vertical wavenumber of the data. There are obvious differences in the inversion effects with different vertical wavenumber. This paper defined the impact of vertical wavenumber on forest height inversion. 39 groups of simulated data and 8 groups of real E-SAR data with vertical wavenumber gradient change were used respectively on analyzing the impact of vertical wavenumber on interference coherence and coherent matrix range.
