Rhizosphere is a hot zone formed by root–microbial interaction, and microbial activities in this zone differ from those in bulk soil. Nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) inputs are able to change forest soil nutrient availability, affecting microbial communities and extracellular enzyme secretion.
