To enhance the properties of sodium silicate wood adhesive modified by PVOH (polyvinyl alcohol), different organic additives (compound A) and inorganic fillers (compound B) were added into the system. Their effects on the thermal stability and molecular structure of the composite adhesive were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), spectroscopic analysis (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermo- gravimetric analysis (TGA).
