生态旅游资源分类研究是生态旅游的重要研究领域,国外关于生态旅游资源的分类研究从20世纪60年代开始可以分为探索期、快速发展期和巩固与革新期三个阶段,国内相关研究始于20世纪90年代中期,可分为初始、繁荣和停滞期三个阶段。总体上生态旅游资源分类研究逐渐形成了多学科理论综合指导的趋势,也存在着偏重专家评估方法,分类指标体系构建缺乏对生态旅游资源特性及研究样地特性的综合考虑等问题。

The study on the classification of ecotourism resources is important in the field of ecotourism research. The overseas study in this field started in 1960 s, and it can be divided into three stages： exploration stage, the rapid development stage and the stage of consolidation and innovation; while the domestic related research in this area began in the middle of 1990 s, which can be divided into initial, prosperous and stagnant stages.
