信息型政策工具是指政府在政策制定、执行和反馈过程中为实现政策目标而采取的具有信息属性的手段、方式或途径。信息型政策工具是环境治理的一种重要手段,是继管制型工具和市场经济手段后发展起来的一项新的环境治理方法。中国城市环境治理是环境治理的一部分,信息型政策工具自然是中国城市环境治理的一种重要手段。信息型政策工具能够起到指令性控制手段和经济手段无法起到的重要作用,因而是中国城市环境治理的一种重要手段。

Information-typed policy tools are some means or ways with information attribute which governments take in order to achieve policy goals in the process of policy formulation, execution and feedback. They are one of important means to environment governance, and are a new method to environment governance after control and market tools. Urban environment governance in China is a part of environment governance, and of course information-typed policy tools are one of important means to urban environment governance in China.
