生态旅游研究已成为当今旅游研究的热点之一,但鲜有生态旅游区的分类与分级体系方面的报道.按照生态旅游区的功能及所在地生态环境进行综合分析,生态旅游区可以划分为森林生态型生态旅游区、保健养生型生态旅游区、避寒型生态旅游区、避暑型生态旅游区、滨海型(含海岛)生态旅游区、内陆滨水型(江河湖库型)生态旅游区、草原生态型生态旅游区7种类型.不同类型的生态旅游区有不同的分级评价指标.
