立法文本的言语行为的主要功能是实现法律的规范调节功能。从言语行为研究文本，既有利于我们理解原语篇的字面意义或内容，又有益于我们了解立法者欲实现的立法意图。法律翻译者的最终目的是为了保证原文的意义能够等效地传递，不能仅仅停留在译文与原文在语言表层意义上的对等，而应使二者真正达到语用或功能上的对等。
