Relationship between enzyme activities and heavy metal contents in soils of deserted land in Xiangtan Manganese Mile was studied by using field investigation and analysis methods. The results show that the studied soils suffered from pollution of Cu, Zn, Mn, Co, CA, Ni, Pb to different degrees. In the study, three active enzymes, Peroxidase, Urease and Dehydrogenase, were found and they had certain relation to heavy metal contents in soils.
