生态旅游者具有特有的心理需求和行为特征.探新求异、放松身心、返朴归真、回归自然、净化心灵是生态旅游者的心理需求.到武夷山的生态旅游者具有如下行为特征:首选的旅游项目是登山和野营,其比例分别为25%和23%;选择1～2个好友结伴外出是最佳出游方式;经济收入和旅游花费比一般旅游者高;在旅游地的停留时间较长;旅游季节多在春秋两季;文化程度比较高;旅游目的地以山、水、森林为首选.研究结果还表明:生态旅游者的队伍在不断壮大,旅游经营者应及时开发适销对路的生态旅游产品.
